We offer excellent educational and reward packages tailored towards the under 12s, making Lightwater Valley the perfect destination for school trips! Whether you want to expand your learning outdoors and experience nature through immersive, hands-on learning, or reward your pupils for their hard work...we have packages to suit all needs!

Educational Trip - includes access to the Discovery Woods (does not grant access to the full park). Educational visits are available any day of the year, including days where the main park is closed. 

Rewards Trip - includes access to the Full Lightwater Valley Adventure Park and Tree Top Trail.

Educational Trips

Our educational package includes access to the Discovery woods. The package provides students with a full day of adventures, learning and discovery, in a safe and secure environment. Included within the educational package is age-appropriate activity packs which incorporate curriculum linked outdoor learning. Educational visits to the Discovery Woods are available any day of the year, including days where the main park is closed. 

Discovery Woods

Children thrive outdoors and there is so much to see, do and learn in the brand-new Discovery Trail. The trail is a woodland walk filled with interactive hands-on learning. We encourage children to get messy and creative in our Mud Kitchen. Fish for creatures big and small whilst Pond Dipping in our Swan Lake, compare your findings on the Pond ID sheet to see what’s living below the surface of the water! Keep your eyes peeled whilst you look for woodland animals and birds. The woods are home to all! From the minibeasts in our Bug Hotels, to the majestic birds you may find hiding in Bird Boxes! We have a purpose built outdoor classroom, and the trail has educational signage throughout ensuring that the woods are full of excitement and discovery. We offer activity packs covering Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Reward Trips

Reward your pupils by escaping to Lightwater Valley! 

With over 40+ rides and attractions to exhilarate the mini thrill seekers, step aboard the Savanna Express for a journey through the African Wilderness, twist and turn on the Ladybird Rollercoaster or plunge into Splash Falls on a rubber dinghy. For gentler thrills there’s endless funfair tradition to enjoy, including our carousel, Lightwater Express Train and Alice's Car Ride. 

Enjoy all the favourites including the Eagle's Claw, Flying Cutlass and Dodgems! There’s so much to choose from, it’s hard to know which ride and attraction to run to first.

Jurassic Adventure Golf

Golfing with dinosaurs has never been so fun! Why not complete your perfect school trip by rewarding students further and upgrading to the Jurassic Adventure Golf! Fierce raptors, including the mighty T-Rex, roam this hostile section of the park. With just a club and a small white ball for protection, swap your birdies for Pterodactyls and rise to the challenge of making Jurassic pars are you navigate your way through 18 holes! 

Sandwich Boxes

No need to bring your own picnics! You can pre order ours for only £4.95pp, and they will be kept cool and ready to collect when you are ready for lunch. Sandwich boxes must be pre ordered at the time of booking.

DOCUMENTATION 

Risk Assessments and Public Liability Insurance Documents can be found below, if you prefer to conduct your own risk assessment then once your booking is made, Lightwater Valley offers 2 free teacher preview tickets should they wish to carry out their own pre-trip inspection. These tickets are for teachers only and allow up to 1 hour in the Discovery Woods area at a pre-arranged date and time.
