Our Hygiene Team plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness of our beautiful park and ensuring all guests have an unforgettable experience. No prior experience is necessary - your personality and willingness to help are what matters most!

We're excited to announce there are positions available both as a Hygiene Team Member and as a Hygiene Team Leader. As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supervising the Hygiene Crew, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standard, and supporting the team with training and development. 

A typical day working in our Hygiene department will involve:

Guest Service - Deliver exceptional customer service, always with a smile, and make every guest feel welcome. 

Facilities Care - Clean and stock toilet facilities, monitor supplies, and report any issues such as damage, leaks or faults. 

Litter Management - Litter pick, empty bins, and keep work areas tidy to the highest standard.

Problem Solving - Handle challenging situations professionally and escalate to a manager if necessary. 

Team Standards - Adhere to company policies and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. 

Sweeper Operation (if applicable) - If you hold a driving licence you may be trained to operate our sweeper vehicle to clean roads and pathways.

Someone who shows initiative in during quieter times and goes the extra mile for guests and colleagues. 

Applicant must be comfortable with walking and light lifting as part of the role. 

Hours & Start Date

Start date - Easter Holidays 2025. 

Most of our seasonal roles are available on a full time and part time basis. A full time role is up to 40 hours a week, our part time roles are often 16 to 24 hours a week.

Most of the Hygiene Team start work at 8am so ideally own transport is preferred.

Our Park 

Lightwater Valley operates daily from 10.30am - 5pm. We aim to exceed guest expectations by offering great value for money, exceptional customer service and a dedicated team of enthusiastic and engaging staff, creating lasting happy memories for all the families who visit us.  

Key dates to remember 

  • Open Days: Listed on the application form. 
  • Recruitment Day: Join us on the 8th of February at 10am or 2pm. This is your chance to learn more, meet the team, ask questions, and potentially interview on the spot. 
  • Training for Easter Positions: Weekend training sessions will be held in March.

Age requirements 

There is no upper age limit to join our team. As long as you are 16 or turning 16 during this academic year, you are eligible to apply.
